The purpose of this program is to assess the changes taking place in the structure of the fish community in the Paranaíba river due to the operation of HPP São Simão.
Periodic monitoring is carried out to study the characteristics of the fish community present in the area, such as diversity, abundance, food and reproduction.
This monitoring allows SPIC Brasil to create a database of information about existing species and the evolution and behavior of these communities, which contributes to the adoption of conservation measures.
