Water Quality Monitoring Program

December 02, 2020

The objective of this program is to diagnose and measure changes in water quality resulting from the operation of HPP São Simão.

The water assessment meets the conditions and standards established by Conama Resolution 357/2005, which classifies and establishes environmental guidelines in relation to surface water bodies.

Monitoring allows the identification of the main water polluting sources of anthropic or natural origin, as well as relating the results to observations on the aquatic communities monitored in the Ichthyofauna Conservation Program.

The unified data support the actions of SPIC Brasil in the preservation and restoration of the areas monitored by the programs.
