Adriana Waltrick is the CEO of SPIC Brasil, a company that invests in safe energy generation with a focus on renewable sources and respect for the communities where it operates.
With assets totaling approximately 4 GW in Brazil, the company operates the São Simão Hydroelectric Power Plant, located between the states of Minas Gerais and Goiás, two wind farms in Paraíba — Millennium and Vale dos Ventos — and is a shareholder in the largest natural gas complex in Latin America, GNA (Gás Natural Açu), in São João da Barra (RJ). SPIC Brasil also holds a 70% majority stake in the Marangatu (PI), Panati (CE), and Luiz Gonzaga (PE) Solar Complexes, which together have an installed capacity of 852 MWp.
Adriana holds a degree in Business Administration, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), and a certification from the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC). She has more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector.
She serves as an ImPacto Leader for the UN Global Compact Network Brazil and is a spokesperson for SDG 16, advocating for peace, justice, and strong institutions. In recent years, she has joined the Boards of Directors of GNA I and GNA II thermal power plants, as well as the board of CBO Group, a logistics and maritime navigation company for the oil and gas sector.
Recognized among the Top 10 Executives of SPIC Global — a group present in 47 countries with 130,000 employees — Adriana has also been named for three consecutive years as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Energy by Full Energy magazine, in the Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution category.
