Adriana Waltrick is CEO of SPIC Brasil, a power company positioned in seventh place among the country’s private generators, with operations at the São Simão Hydropower Plant, two wind farms and also being a shareholder of the largest natural gas complex in Latin America, Gás Natural Açu.
A Bachelor of Business Administration, Adriana holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA, a Master’s in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, UFRGS), certification as a member of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa, IBGC), and 25 years of experience in the energy market.
In 2019 she was recognized among the top 10 executives of SPIC Global (a group with 130,000 employees and a presence in 46 countries). In 2020, she was recognized for the third consecutive time as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Energy by Full Energy Magazine in the Generation, Transmission and Distribution Category. In 2021, Adriana joined the Boards of Directors of UTE GNA I and UTE GNA II, companies of the GNA complex, and of the CBO Group of navigation logistics for the oil and gas sector, in addition to being elected by Rede Brazil, of Global Compact, as an ImPact Leader, becoming an ambassador of SDG 16, which defends and fosters actions for Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions.
