SPIC was founded in 2015 through the union between China Power Investment Corporation and SNPTC. It is currently one of China’s top five power generator groups and the world’s largest solar generator. Its energy matrix has a total installed capacity of 176 GW in 46 countries and is powered by more than 130,000 employees. SPIC in Brazil

SPIC Brasil is a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation of China (SPIC), a global company for sustainable power generation and related projects. Currently, the Brazilian energy matrix is formed by São Simão Hydropower Plant, on the border between the states of Minas Gerais and Goiás, two wind farms in Paraíba and a 33% stake in GNA – Gás Natural Açu, in partnership with Prumo, BP, Siemens and Siemens Energy.

SPIC Brasil also signed a contract to participate in future expansion projects GNA III and GNA IV, located in Porto do Açu (RJ). Together, they will generate 3 GW of energy. In partnership with Canadian Solar, we also control 70% of the solar parks under construction in the cities of Panati (CE) and Marangatu (PI), with delivery expected by the end of 2023.
